Discus Battle Gladiators is a turn based strategy game where you either eliminate the enemy team or score a goal. The game has two steps: the play step and the disc step. During the play step a player may pay one action to move a piece in or throw the disc in any one direction. A piece must move through or onto the disc to gain possesion. Gaining possesion stops regular movement. Each piece may only have an action used on it once per turn. Each piece also has a class. Its class determines its maximum movespeed and its ability. Each piece's active ability can be used once per piece per turn if able. You cannot use abilities or move when in possesion of the disc.
The pawn shaped piece is the Interceptor. It has a maximum movespeed of 4. One of its abilities is that it passively gains +1 movespeed when moving in the same direction that the disc is moving.(Figure 1) The Interceptor's active ability can only be used when the piece is 2 or less spaces away from the disc. When it is activated move the Interceptor 3 spaces in the direction that is toward the disc from the space which the ability was activated.(Figure 2) This should always leave you overshooting the disc by one or two. Unlike regular movement, the Interceptor does not stop moving when diving through the disc. When diving, if moving through or landing on an enemy or landing on an ally; destroy that piece. After diving, your piece will become grounded until the end of your next turn. While grounded your piece cannot throw the disc.

The cube shaped piece is the Cyborg. It has a maximum movespeed of 3. One of its abilities is that any disc thrown by this piece gains supersonic until end of turn. if the disc would collide with an enemy piece while it has supersonic, the enemy piece dies and the disc moves normally.(Figure 3) At the end of your turn if a disc is in the air and it has had the supersonic buff during this flight you may redirect the disc up to 60 degrees from its current direction.(Figure 4) It will move in that direction next turn.
The person/meeple shaped piece is the Brute. It has a maximum movespeed of 2. Its ability is an active that kills all enemy pieces within one unit of it.(Figure 5) It can activate its ability at any time during the action phase.
